Hotel and Student Accommodation building at Riverside House

In October 2025, planning permission was granted to deliver a hotel and Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) on the site. Planning permission [24/2813/F] was previously secured in October 2025 in October 2025 to deliver a hotel and PBSA. This was then followed by a s73 application [25/3415/MA] in the same month for an additional floor of student accommodation.

Riverside House are now proposing to remove the hotel element, and replace it with around 42 flats, all of which would be affordable, and an additional 320 PBSA rooms.
